I have begun to scan in my drawings and play around with imagery in Photoshop. I realised that it might be easier for me to produce designs and immediately create visualisations so that I am able to see how my designs would work on fashion accessories such as bags.
I am trying not to think too much about repeat patterns yet and focus more on the sort of designs I can produce in a A3 format especially for a product.
This week I have spent some time trying to make samples of bags that I can envisage my designs working with. It is important that I begin this now so that I can start to produce tech packs and find a manufacturer that can create samples to a high standard. I have emailed Robin Kerr (a fashion tutor at MMU) to ask for advice regarding printing leather and finding a manufacturer.
