Sci-Art: Under the Microscope

I have organised a meeting with science technicians from the John Dalton building and met with them today to learn how to use the software to photograph imagery underneath the microscope.

I realised that using the microscopes to capture imagery is quite difficult and rather technical, it is nearly impossible to create photographs of the crystals due to the fact that they weren't flat, the three dimensional objects pose an issue due to depth of feild.

It's difficult to get a clear image, I will have to create slides with items which I want to look at so I will have to start to consider better pieces to investigate. I have already started to think about looking at flowers and petals are creating unrecognisable floral imagery.

I am unhappy with the clarity of the photographs but will be contacting another technician to discuss using more powerful electron microscopes.
